We love to add sensory exploration to our activities, and that’s exactly why decided to try marbled painting with our toddler valentine art. Some toddlers love to get their hands involved in the process, while others are a bit more hesitant. Even if they decide not to touch this marbled paint, we have an alternative method that they will love. Plus, this is super easy to assemble and only requires 2 ingredients!     What you will need:

Shaving cream Tempera paint Paper Plastic tray to contain materials Brushes, in case they don’t want to touch the mixture

Setting it up: Squirt shaving cream and tempera paint onto tray. I cut our paper into heart shapes, but that’s optional.   The process: Invite your children to mix the shaving cream and paint with their hands. If your child is hesitant to get his hands in there, offer a paint brush. Another option is to put a sheet of plastic wrap over the top and let him press down on that, so that the hands do not get messy.
