Invite toddlers to press the flower pieces onto the sticky Con-Tact paper. This pressing motion is great for fine motor development! If you’ve been a reader of my website for a while, you’ll know how much I love incorporating the light table into our activities. The way that the light enhances color and creates object shadows is perfect for hands-on activities such as this spring collaging activity involving Con-Tact paper and flower shaped foam pieces!
Con-Tact Paper Foam flowers (we used these and these) Scotch tape Light table Tray for foam flower pieces
Cut a piece of the Contact Paper that will fit on the top of your light table. Remove the protective paper backing and tape it to the light table with the sticky side up. Place the foam pieces in a tray and set on top of the light table. We compared the different foam pieces, looking through the light to group together the matching colors. We arranged and pressed until all of our flowers were stuck to the sheet. You can find our favorite light table materials here: This would look beautiful in the window, allowing the sun to shine through the colors!
