Another holiday is upon us, and that means perhaps getting a bit crafty. But how can we keep it as open-ended as possible? I try to make most of the activity be as child-directed as I can, such as the preschool Easter bunny art I’m about to show you. I wanted this to be hands-on, full of exploration. And FUN! I also wanted it to be a sensory activity. Some of our preschoolers love to get their hands into the materials, while others are still a bit timid. Therefore, I like to invite them to touch paint and other art materials with their hands as much as possible. And, of course, I wanted this activity to have a spring feel, so we used pastel colors. Another bonus? It only requires 2 ingredients. Nice, right?
